Rosa L. Gutierrez passed peacefully at home in her sleep in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the age of 91.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Thursday, May 26th, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM with Fr. Joseph Baltz as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Rose was born on September 24, 1930, in Des Moines, New Mexico to Mary Lovato. Rose was self-educated, she retired from Clayton High School after 25 years of service. She was happily married to her spouse Fidel Gutierrez for 64 years upon his death. Rose was preceded in death by her husband Fidel, Son Larry, Brothers Louis, Jose, Ernie and Tony. Rose is survived by 2 daughter, Dorothy Noble of Clayton, New Mexico and Katarina Trujillo of Amarillo, Texas. Her six grandchildren; Mike, Paul, Debbie, Boomer, Kamarine, and Colby, nine great-grandchildren; Amanda, Makenna, Bridger, Anessa, Hayley, Toree, Ashley, Brody and Rose, and by three great-great-grandchildren; Sophie, Alayah and Ezra, a sister-in-law; Mary Lovato, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, longtime friends and those that thought of her like a mother. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and was loved by all. Rose was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed feeding anyone who showed up at her house. She loved gardening, cooking, baking and dancing. Now she is dancing forever with her Father in Heaven.
