Ruth Doak, age 96, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Jay Jones, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Ruth Doak was born on August 18, 1915 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles D. Folse and Lena Belle (Stewart) Folse. She graduated from the Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas and began her teaching career in Claude, Texas where she met Richard Deming Doak. They were married in Kansas City, Missouri on July 4, 1937 and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1987 just 9 days after their 50th wedding anniversary. They lived in Claude, Texas for a while and then moved to Buffalo Springs, Texas where they lived on the FDW Ranch. They later moved to the Yates Community until they bought a ranch outside of Greeley, Colorado. When they sold that ranch, they bought a ranch near Miles City, Montana where they lived for ten years. They later sold that ranch and bought ranches near Ft. Sumner, New Mexico and Clayton, New Mexico and they moved to Clayton and their son Alan operated the ranch in Ft. Sumner. In addition to her husband and paretns, Ruth was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Lucille Aly and Mary Hutchison and 1 Son-in-law; Dalton Harris.

1 DAUGHTER: Marcia Miller and her husband Ken of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SON: Alan Doak and his wife Ellaine of Cave Creek, Arizona.

4 GRANDCHILDREN: Doak Harris and his wife Joy, Lee Ann Knox and her husband R.C., Richard Doak and his wife Stacy and James Doak and his wife Lisa.

10 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN:

1 BROTHER: Dean S. Folse of Galveston, Texas.
