Sadie Ruth (Brown) Renfro, age 94, died on Friday, May 11, 2018 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial followed in the Fairmont Cemetery in Raton, New Mexico by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Sadie Ruth (Brown) Renfro was born on June 11, 1923 at her Grandparents home on the ranch near Folsom, New Mexico in Long Canyon. She attended school in Folsom and Branson and graduated from Des Moines High School in 1940 and went to Albuquerque to business college where she met Kenneth Renfro and later married him in February of 1942. Sadie worked from Jordans Clothing Store and then for the Bank of New Mexico in Albuquerque and T or C for 30 years. She was a member of the Des Moines Baptist Church for many years and later transferred to the First Baptist Church in Clayton, She belonged to the Folsom Garden Club for years and served on the North East Conservation Board for 8 years. Sadie was the owner of Renfro/Brown Ranch and a co-owner of Ropes Western Wear store for 20 years before selling it. She was honored as the Pioneer Woman during the Fourth of July. Sadie was preceded in death by her father; Henry J. Brown on May 3, 1958, mother; Florence Ruth Brown on October 30, 1988, 2 brothers; James H. Brown on October 3, 1976 and Thomas E. Brown in December of 1997, 1 sister; Helen Brown on December 9, 1926, her husband; Kenneth Renfro on May 11, 1999 and a daughter; Margaret Sue O'Quinn on July 5, 2015.

1 DAUGHTER: Gloria O'Bryant and her husband Jim of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 SON-IN-LAW: Danny O'Quinn of Franklin, Texas.
1 BROTHER: William Brown and his wife Charlotte of Whitewater, Colorado.
1 SISTER-IN-LAW: Loretta Vigil and her husband Frank of Buckeye, Arizona.
6 GRANDCHILDREN: Donna O'Bryant and Mandy Burlin both of College Station, Texas, Barbara Werner and her husband Paul of Los Gatos, California, Kim Leal and her husband Jon of Clayton, New Mexico, Brenda Ferland and her husband Keith of Apache Junction, Arizona and Kenny O'Quinn of Franklin, Texas.
16 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Jaymi Werner, Sydney Werner, Ryan Werner, Noah McCullough, Nic McCullough, Brook Leal, Kobe Leal, Max Leal, Kaleb O'Quinn, Kaitlyn O'Quinn, Kolt O'Quinn, Kylie O'Quinn, Asa Gray, Zane Gray, Karson Counts and Morgan Counts.

And several nices and nephews including; Jimmy Brown and his family of Plantersville, Texas and Henry Brown and his wife Marlene of Folsom, New Mexico.
MEMORIALS: The family asks that memorials be made in Sadie's memory to the First Baptist Church, 223 Oak Street, Clayton, New Mexico 88415 to be allocated for a ramp.
