Theo Oll Campbell, age 82, died Sunday, February 27, 2011, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Grandview Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Theo Oll Campbell was born on August 14, 1928, the first child and only son of Ollie Thomas Campbell and Esther Pearl (Havens) Campbell. He was born and raised in Union County at the family home near Seneca, NM. He attended the Seneca school 1st through 8th grades then transferred to Clayton High School. There he was active in FFA, serving as FFA State President and winning many awards including project of the year for the state with a $100 cash prize. Theo was well liked by his classmates and had kept in touch with many of them throughout the years. After graduation, he lived at home and worked on the ranch helping his parents. At the age of 28, after the death of his father, Theo took over management of the ranch and helped his mother with his younger sisters, Joy, Mary & Jean. Theo selflessly gave his love and support to his family. Throughout his life, he continued to be involved with each of them. On March 20, 1975, Theo married the love of his life, Patricia Beth Snapp. Moving to the ranch 18 miles North of Clayton, they began building their future together. Theo and Pat were inseparable, working along side each other and sharing lifes ups and downs. In November of 1981, they were blessed with the arrival of their 2 children, D'Angela and Charlie. Theo enjoyed interacting with his children from helping them with homework to teaching them about ranching. His involvement didn't end there, for he attended ball games, band concerts and other school activities. Along with these functions, Theo actively participated in his community. He was a member of the election board, the volunteer fire department, attended EMT classes and helped neighbors, family and friends. Throughout his life, Theo never stopped learning. He was an avid reader and was curious about new ideas. His latest interest was wind energy and he believed strongly in it's benefit. Theo was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend. We will remember him for his compassion, kindness, patience and generosity. He will be deeply missed. Theo was preceded in death by his loving wife Pat on October 21, 2010. It comforts the family to know they are together again.

1 DAUGHTER: D'Angela Campbell and Bill Johnson of Clayton.

1 SON: Charlie Campbell and his wife Melissa of Guymon, Oklahoma.

5 GRANDCHILDREN: Alex Flores and J. T. Skaggs both of Clovis, New Mexico, Sierra Skaggs of Clayton, New Mexico and Ollie Campbell and Eli Campbell both of Guymon, Oklahoma.

3 SISTERS: Jean Kear and Mary Miller of Clayton, New Mexico and Joy Hanson and her husband Richard of Garden City, Kansas.

And many nephews, nieces and cousins.

MEMORIALS: The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in Clayton.
