Thomas Albert Hyer, Sr., age 79, died Saturday, September 8, 2018, in Clayton, New Mexico.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony was held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 16th at the Trinity Fellowship Church in Clayton.

Thomas Albert Hyer, Sr. was born on January 17, 1939 in Capulin, New Mexico to John Thomas Hyer and Zelma Elizabeth (Flaming) Hyer. He grew up in the Capulin, Gladstone and Sofia communities of North Eastern New Mexico. Thomas married Lois Evelyn (Merrit) Hyer and they moved to Oklahoma for a few years before moving to Clayton where Thomas worked for 39 years as the mill operator at the feedlot. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by a son; Thomas Delbert Hyer, a sister; Zela Mae Fletcher and 3 brothers; Butch Manford Hyer, Johnny Dick Hyer and Golden Hyer.

WIFE: Lois Evelyn Hyer of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SONS: Tommy Hyer of Clayton, New Mexico and Kenneth Hyer and his wife Mary of Keyes, Oklahoma.

1 GRANDDAUGHTER: Kaitlyn Hyer of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SISTERS: Myrtle "Tootie" Fletcher and her husband Clarence and Naomi "Kandi" Green all of Jay, Oklahoma.

1 BROTHER: Arthur Hyer and his wife Reba of Morgan Mills, Texas.
