Timothy Gallagher, age 75, died on Friday, January 21, 2022, in Amarillo, Texas.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2022, and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Joseph Baltz as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.

Timothy Gallagher was born on April 2, 1946, in Hereford, Texas to John and Hattie Gallagher. He was the youngest of five boys. He attended Saint Anthony's Catholic School through 8th grade and graduated from Hereford High School in 1964. In 1975 he moved to Texline and opened the Reinke irrigation dealership. He also farmed and was one of the first to plant potatoes in the area. He enjoyed playing his fiddle for events and playing softball and golf. During this time, he met and married the love of his life, Mary Alice Durbin. They had four children, and everyone was taught to work on the farm and build sprinklers. Along the way, Tim and Mary began to foster and eventually adopt many children. Tim helped his wife, Mary, run their flower and gift shop, and they opened the deli. In his spare time, he would cut and sell firewood, and he helped raise the family pugs. Tim was a devout Catholic who loved his family and didn't know a stranger. He helped everyone he could, just ask his older kids about some hitchhiker stories. You knew he cared about you if he gave you a hard time. Tim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton. Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Pat Gallagher, Eddie Gallagher ad Brendan Gallagher and by a son, Anthony Gallagher.

WIFE: Mary Alice Gallagher of Clayton, New Mexico.

19 CHILDREN: Brendan Gallagher of Shelby, Montana, Timmy Gallagher (Jami Tidwell) and Russell Gallagher all of Clayton, New Mexico, Lindsay Wellman (Richard) and Ivonne Gallagher Sauceda (Albert) all of Amarillo, Texas, Arthur Gallagher, Ricky Gallagher, Kayden Merrill, and Anthony Merrill all of Clayton, New Mexico, Desiree Gallagher of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Crystal Gallagher of Columbus, Ohio, Michelle Gallagher, Francis Gallagher, Alisha Archuleta and Gracie Gallagher all of Clayton, New Mexico, Jennifer, Juliette, Danna and Joshua all of Christianville, Haiti.
