Ursulita "Lita" Craine, age 70 died on Thursday, November 23, 2023, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Hilario Perez, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Ursulita "Lita" Craine was born on April 8, 1953, in Wagon Mound, New Mexico to Adelicia (Chaves) Maestas and Cristobal Maestas. Lita grew up in Wagon Mound, New Mexico and later moved to Clayton, New Mexico where she proudly started and owned her own business, Craine Cleaning Service, cleaning houses and businesses for more than 30 years. She had many friends throughout the community and was a devoted Christian, attending the Clayton Gospel Church and later the First Baptist Church. She never lost her faith through the years she battled with cancer. She trusted in her faith and knew God would always take care of her. She loved the company of her dog "Nosey Rosie" and her cats. Lita always knew how to make you laugh with her great sense of humor. She was very involved in the community including the annual Arts Festival and the Herzstein Mueseum and many others. Lita has been a member of the 21st Century Club in Clayton. She was a wonderful cook and will be greatly missed. Lita was preceded in death by her parents, Cristobal and Adelicia Maestas and by several brothers and sisters and nephews and nieces.

SURVIVORS:

1 SON: Salomon Craine and his wife Chris of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 GRANDSONS: Kameron Craine and Cash Craine both of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 BROTHERS: Juan G. Maestas and his wife Rose of Clayton, New Mexico, Edwin Maestas of Las Vegas, New Mexico and Gabriel Maestas and his wife Jaylynn of Wagon Mound, New Mexico.

2 SISTERS: Ruby Love and her husband Marvin of Raton, New Mexico and Louisa Maestas of Wagon Mound, New Mexico.

Along with numerous nephews and nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.
