Wyman Haisten, age 88, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral Services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton with Rev. Kyle Bueermann, pastor and Rev. Billy Rammage, retired pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors in Clayton.
Wyman Haisten was born on October 19, 1924 in Union County, New Mexico to Lois Harrison Haisten and Oneta (Waters) Haisten. A lifelong resident of Clayton, Wyman served in the US Navy during WWII and then returned to Clayton. Wyman married Helen (Garrison) Haisten on June 1, 1946 in Clayton, New Mexico. He went to work at the Post Office as a clerk and worked his way up to become the first Postmaster that was not appointed and he retired after 39 years. Wyman then managed the Clayton Office Supply for 13 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clayton, the Lions Club, the Clayton Golf Club and he served on the Clayton Union County Chamber of Commerce Board. In addition to his parents, Wyman was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Mary Ann Hotchkiss, Helen Sartan and Glenna Meadows.

1 DAUGHTER: Terry D. Haisten-Zinck and her husband Buster of San Antonio, TX.
2 SONS: James Arthur Haisten and his wife Gail of Richland, TX and Shannon Kent Haisten and his wife Twila of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 SISTER: Allene McNew of Amarillo, TX.
3 BROTHERS: Lois Ray Haisten and his wife Louise of Logan, New Mexico, Tommy Haisten and his wife Gail of Hobbs, New Mexico and Leon Haisten and his wife Linda of San Antonio, TX.
9 GRANDCHILDREN: Leon Tres Zinck and his fiancé Sara, Kortnie Braudt and her husband Bill, Matthew Haisten and his wife Tiffany, Michael Haisten, Martin Haisten and his wife Kelly, T. J. Haisten, Anna Wariner and her husband Brandon, Brettyn Haisten and Matthew B. Haisten.
